Obituary

Lorna E. Rock, 14 Stoney Brook Blvd., Greenville, and Lecanto, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (1-29-09) in Citrus Memorial Health System, Inverness, Fla. She was 72.
Mrs. Rock was born in Montreal (Quebec) on March 20, 1936 and she was the daughter of Kenneth and Ruby Benham Bulford.
She graduated from Bellville High School and the Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in Montreal, Canada.
Mrs. Rock attended Grace Chapel Community Church, Hermitage, and along with the church decorating committee, she was instrumental in the interior design of their new church on Lamor Road.
Some of her interest included biking, hiking, shopping, golfing, and bowling and she especially enjoyed bowling with St. Michael's Bowling League, Greenville. She also enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics and was a multiple gold medalist.
She is survived by her husband Thomas E. Rock, at home, one son, T. David Rock and his wife Lisa of Waldorf, Maryland, one daughter Linda D. Haynes and her husband Rev. Larry Haynes, Hermitage, a great aunt, Olive E. Benham, seven grandchildren, Kelly Catrona, Jenifer, David and Ian Haynes, T.J. Rock, Lindsay Miller, and Lila Rock, two great grandchildren, Lexie Miller and Lila Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Calling hours: 5 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday (2-3-09) in Grace Chapel Community Church, 4075 Lamor Road, Hermitage.
Services: 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (2-3-09) in Grace Chapel Community Church with Rev. Larry Haynes Senior pastor and son in law of the deceased officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
