Lori Ann Shaffer, 59, of Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in her home.

Lori was born December 17, 1959, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Berndt) Tomorie. She graduated in 1977 from Hickory High School and received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She later earned her master's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University. Lori was employed for nearly 20 years in the corporate business office of Juniper Communities.

Lori was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon. She was a devout homemaker with a passion for caring for her husband and sons. Lori enjoyed cooking, reading, animals and taking care of people.  She also enjoyed boating and spending time at the beach with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Marc Shaffer, whom she married on June 25, 1987; two sons, Jacob Jeffrey and Zachary Marc Shaffer, all of Hermitage; a sister, Lynnda Watson and her husband Wilson, Reisterstown, MD; and one brother, Paul Tomorie and his wife Dee Dee, Riverside, CA.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 396 Buhl Blvd., Sharon, PA 16146.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (09/11/2018) in Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon, with Rev. Michael Lozano, pastor, officiating.
