Loretta Lapcevich, 71, of Sharon, died at 10:04 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2025, lovingly cared for by the staff at Jameson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Castle.

Loretta was born November 4, 1953, in Sharon, a daughter of John and Catherine (Koch) Pollack, and graduated from Sharon High School in 1971.

She worked as a Loss Prevention Manager at Zayre's Department Store, and later as a cone packer at Joy Cone Company, both in Hermitage.

Loretta loved completing the newspaper's crossword puzzle, watching "her shows," fishing, and crocheting blankets for anyone who was having a baby.  Her greatest joy came with the arrival of her granddaughters, Kate and Kara, who lit up her world and filled her heart with pride and love.

Loretta's memory lives on through her daughter, Christina Dorland, and her caring son-in-law, Brian, Fairport, NY; two granddaughters, Katherine Dorland (fiancé, Alex Browne) and Kara Dorland.  She will affectionately be remembered as "Aunt Ra-Ra" by her nieces and nephews.

Her family thanks close cousins, Linda Violante and Patty Vendemia, and close family friend, Rev. Msgr. Dr. L. Thomas Snyderwine, all of whom provided immeasurable love and support during Loretta's illness.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by a brother, John Pollock; and a sister, Joan Gyurcsanszky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday (9-20-25) in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, 779 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, with Rev. James Power, as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
