Loretta J. Krutsch, 76, of Sharon, passed away Monday afternoon, January 5, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

“Aunt Loretta” was born May 5, 1949, in Sharon, a daughter of Anthony and Mary (Lamb) Krutsch. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Sharon High School in 1967.

Loretta retired from Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, where she worked as a secretary for several years. She previously worked in a similar capacity for the Valley View Dept. Store, Brookfield, OH.

Loretta was a member of St. Anthony Church, Sharon.

She was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan, a passion she inherited from her parents and later instilled in her nieces and nephews. Loretta often planned many vacations around the Indian’s spring training and summer road trips.

Above all, “Aunt Loretta” adored her 11 nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great-niece and nephew.

Loretta is also survived by a brother, Anton “Bud” Krutsch (Patty), Mt. Vernon, OH; and a brother-in-law, Phil Schmidt, Vienna, OH.

In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Katakowski, Mary Schmidt, and Theresa Basile.

Loretta was honored to be able to give the gift of life through organ donation.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday (1-17-26) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, with Rev. James Power, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
