Lisa A. (Butala) Rosa, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, following a long battle with cancer on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. She was 42.
She was born June 30, 1974, in Sharon, a daughter of Stephen Butala and Marianne (Spreitzer) Butala.
Lisa was a 1992 graduate of Farrell High School. Following high school she continued her education at Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Management.
She was employed by First National Bank, in the customer service call center.
Lisa was member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon. She was a Boy Scout leader for troop 3 and pack 5.
Lisa enjoyed bowling in the JYNX bowling league, going camping, spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach and was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Surviving are her parents of Farrell; her husband, Matthew Rosa, whom she married on August 8, 1998; her two sons at home, Ethan and Derek Rosa; paternal grandfather, James Butala, Wheatland; Maternal grandmother, Anna Spreitzer, Hermitage; her mother in law, Marsha Robb and her husband Lex, West Middlesex; two sisters, Jennifer Beaudrot and her husband Aaron, Goose Creek, SC; and Robin Haun and her husband Charles III, West Middlesex.
Lisa was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Edythe Butala; maternal grandfather, Anton Spreitzer; and her father in law, Samuel A. Rosa.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
Calling hours will be Wednesday (11/16/2016) from 6 until 9p.m. in the J. Bradley Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral mass will be Thursday (11/17/2016) at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
