Lisa E. Kress, 59, of Sharon, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2024, in UPMC Jameson, New Castle.

Lisa was born on August 15, 1964, in Sharpsville, a daughter of Richard and Elaine (Bell) Ross. She was a 1982 graduate of Sharpsville High School and attended Penn State Shenango Campus. Lisa completed the former Sharon General School of Nursing, becoming a registered nurse.

She worked as an RN for more than 30 years. Throughout her career she was employed at Sharon Regional Medical Center, Primary Health, was the director of nursing at Clepper Manor and Nugents Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, and most recently at NuChoice Health Partners.

Lisa had the most extraordinary zest for life. You could find her snuggled up with her dogs or outside tending to her bountiful garden and flowers. Whether it was enjoying the sun's radiance or cooking up an experimental meal for her family, Lisa found simplicity brought the biggest joys of life. Her years as a caregiver touched the hearts of many people.

She is survived by her husband, Henry 'Hank" Kress, whom she married on October 1, 1988; a son, Erik Kress, Sharon; a daughter, Alaina Kress, Erie; her mother, Elaine Ross, Sharpsville; and a sister, Lori Ross-McBriar and her husband Ken, Hubbard, OH. Lisa is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
