Linda Rice

Linda Rice, 65, of West Middlesex, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in her home.

Mrs. Rice was born in Sharon on December 8, 1960. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1979 graduate of Sharon High School. Linda attended Mercer County Vo-Tech, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate.

She was a longtime employee of St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage, recently retiring in September of 2025.

She married her husband, James Rice, Jr., on December 7, 1985. He passed away on February 26, 2024.

Linda was a hard worker who supported her daughter and was a proud “dog mom.”

She is survived by a daughter, Heather Richards and her husband, Craig, of Hubbard, OH; two brothers, Elmer “El” Reiter and his wife, Linda, of Sharon, and Kenneth Reiter and his wife, Debra, of Plano, TX; and a step-sister, Lorene Bok.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dolores Jean (Steines) McMath.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there are no services.
