Linda JoAnne Reiter, Pleasant Drive, Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 10:52 a.m. Friday (1-16-15) at her residence surrounded by her family following an extended illness. She was 59. Mrs. Reiter was born Nov. 15, 1955, in Sharon, a daughter of Elmer and Marie Spohn Whorten. She was raised in Brookfield and attended Brookfield schools. Linda was employed by Keystone Blind Association, Sharon, where she was as a casework driver. She also worked as a home health aide and private housekeeper. She was a member of the Salvation Army, Sharon. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Linda enjoyed sewing and will always be remembered for the beautiful dresses she made for her granddaughters. She will be sadly missed. She married Albert "Bill" Reiter on Sept. 22, 1973; he survives at home. She also leaves: her three daughters, Sherry Brown and her husband Michael, Lorrie Moyer and her husband Barrian, and Ashley Horr and her companion Josh Myers, all Hermitage; two sons, Albert "Billy" Reiter and his wife Shawnee, and Steven Horr, all Hermitage; two sisters, Karen Slovesko, Masury; and Nancy Whorten, Austintown, Ohio; three brothers, Dan Whorten, Hubbard; David Whorten and his wife Patty, Canfield, Ohio; and Larry Whorten, Farrell; nine grandchildren, Kayla, Abby and Isabella Brown; Kieyara and Kyle Moyer; Eric and Emily Reiter; and Kevin Swartz; and a great-granddaughter, Aubree Britton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Dorus; and a granddaughter, Miah Brown.
