Linda L. Paulson-Gatzy of Brookfield, OH passed away at 2:47 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017, in St. Joseph Emergency Center, Andover, OH. She was 68.

Mrs. Gatzy was born April 13, 1949, in Sharon, a daughter of Roy and Mary (White) Paulson. She was a lifelong resident of the Shenango Valley and a 1967 graduate of Sharon High School. Linda was a cashier for more than 20 years at Giant Eagle, Liberty, OH, retiring in 2015.

Linda was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon.

She enjoyed doing artwork, writing poems and short stories, animals, being outside and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: a daughter, Melissa Gatzy; a son, Timothy Gatzy, both of Brookfield; two grandchildren, Makenna and Reese; a sister, Kathleen Rizor and her husband Brian, Sharon; a brother, Roy Paulson Jr. and his wife June, Sharon; a niece, Stephanie Lewis and her husband Michael and their children, Cody and Sarah; and two nephews, Tony and Robert Paulson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
