Linda Orpen, 76, of Sharpsville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 15, 2025, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Orpen was born on November 16, 1948, in Greenville, PA, a daughter of the late John W. and Greta (Lamb) Smith. She was a graduate of Jamestown (PA) High School and later studied interior design.
Linda was a longtime employee of the former Faller and Allen Electronics, Sharpsville, where she was the Administrative Manager.
An animal lover, she had a soft spot for dogs. She also loved to read and go camping. When her children were young, she was active in their sporting events and served on the Hickory School Board.
Her husband, Paul Orpen, whom she married in 1984, passed away in 2018.
She is survived by two sons, David Tate and his wife Jennifer, Aurora, OH, and Eric Tate and his wife Alana, New Canaan, CT; three stepchildren, Paul, Angela and Jason; and four grandchildren, Kennedy, Jackson, Caitlyn and Cameron Tate. Also surviving is a sister, Esther McCloskey and her husband Richard, Jamestown, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, John Smith.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
