Obituary

Linda May Monteson, 1985 Parkdale Ave., Hermitage, Pa. Passed away at 11:30 p.m. Thursday (1-8-09) in her home following an extended illness.
Linda was born May 17, 1949 in Sharon to Edward and Rose Raykie Gladysz. She was a 1967 graduate of Farrell High School.
She worked for the J.C. Penny Company in both Hermitage and DuBois, Pa.
Linda enjoyed all aspects of nature and she especially enjoyed hiking through the woods and trails, and fishing in her favorite spots. However, she found her greatest joy when tending to her dogs, feeding birds, and flower gardening.
Her most treasured experience was when she reached a level of trust with a wild female deer that would feed from her hand. This same deer would later return with her fawns and they too would accept food from her.
On October 14, 1967 she married her husband Philip Bruce Monteson, they enjoyed 41 years of marriage and cherished every moment of their lives together.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved son, Matthew Monteson and his loving fiancé Christina Gall, DuBois, Pa., her father Edward Gladysz, Hermitage, and one sister Tina West and her husband Willis of McDonald, Ohio. She also leaves her beloved nieces Laura and Dianna West. Her best friend Clancy the dog also survives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rose Raykie Gladysz.
