Linda M. Kelley, 62, of Jupiter, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 1, 2015, in Jupiter Medical Center. She was born in New Castle on Sept. 25, 1952, to the late Charles R. and Myrtle S. Alexander Kelley. Linda was a 1970 graduate of Union High School and matriculated to Slippery Rock University, where she graduated in 1976 with a master's degree in education. Linda retired in 2009 from Carter Elementary School in Louisville, Ky., where she had taught for over 30 years. After her retirement, she moved to Jupiter, where she volunteered the last two years at Grove Park Elementary School in West Palm Beach. Linda was recently awarded by the school for the most volunteer hours performed for the students. She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, country music and had a great affinity for teaching, especially children with special needs. She is survived by her sister, Patricia K. McLaughlin, with whom she made her home in Jupiter, and her brother and sister-in-law, C. Thomas and Linda D. Kelley of New Cumberland, W.Va. Also surviving are her niece, Cherie Armes; nephews, Brian and Scott Kelley; a great-nephew, Bobby Armes; and a great-niece, Elizabeth Armes. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 111 W. Falls St. A service will conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Dennis Bupp. Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
