Linda Marie Cook

Linda Marie Cook, 65, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2026, in her home. 

Ms. Cook was born July 31, 1960, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Frank J. and Helen C. (Mangine) Cook. She graduated from Lawrence County Vo Tech in 1978 with training in Restaurant Trades. 

She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex. 

Linda was a staunch lover of pyrotechnics, dedicating over four decades to Zambelli Fireworks, working both in their office, and as a technician, traveling nationally and internationally for fireworks displays.

 A wonderful neighbor, Linda was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was devoted to her family, especially her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Linda was also a proud and loyal member of her Zambelli Fireworks family, where she formed many lasting friendships over the years. 

Linda was regarded as a great friend to all, and a motherly figure to many whom she knew. She will be remembered for her kind, generous, and loving heart.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Cook, Jr. (Leah), Brenham, TX; three sisters, Terry DiNardo (Rick), and Mary Lou Cook, both of New Castle, and Judy Onestak (Tom), Pulaski Twp.; 11 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Ray Loffredo. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to a charity of the donor's choice. 

Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday (6/26/26) in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3613 Sharon Rd., West Middlesex.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday (6/26/26), in the church with Rev. Glenn Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
