Lillie E. Beers of 476 S. Stateline Rd. Masury, OH. passed away at 12:55 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at Regency Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, OH. She was 61.
Mrs. Beers was born in Sharon, PA on January 26, 1948, a daughter of Albert H. Brannan and Thelma Stafford Hedglin.
Lillie worked for Heck's Clothing Department in the stock department. She was also a nurse's aid for Nugent's Convalescent Home in Hermitage for 10 years, before becoming disabled in 1978.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon. Mrs. Beers enjoyed doing crafts, and most importantly spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include:; her husband, Calvin J. Beers, whom she married October 23, 1964; 2 daughters, Christine L. Beers of Masury, OH, and Tina R. Beers of Thomson, GA; a son, Calvin James Martin and his wife Tammy Ann Beers of Masury, OH; her mother, Thelma Hedglin of Hermitage, PA; 4 brothers, Randy and his wife Jennifer Brannan, Michael Brannan, William K. and his wife Grace Kennedy III, and Albert Lee Brannan; 5 sisters, Betty and her husband Charles Rudy, Catherine and her husband Larry Hivner, Dalila and her husband Manfred Fischer, Patricia Kennedy, and Frances and her husband Todd King; 4 grandchildren, Randy Alan Green, Austin T. Mann, Grant Earl Stebbins, and Calvin James Martin Beers Jr.; a great grandson, Zachary Michael Green; a god daughter, Magnolia Green; her friends, Ada and her husband Carl Swogger, and Noreen and her husband James Green;
She was preceded in death by: her father; step father, Francis Hedglin; 2 brothers, Albert Henry Brannan and Peter Brannan; a nephew, Zachary Fiscus.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas K. Dayton pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon.
