Lester C. Beighley, Sr., 57, of Sharon, passed away Friday morning, September 28, 2018, in his home.
Lester was born February 3, 1961, in Germany, a son of the late Donald and Hedy (Ruppercht) Beighley. He attended Sharon High School and proudly served in the US Army and the reserves for a total of six years with the 347th Quartermaster, Farrell.
Following his honorable discharge, Lester began working as a mechanic at Beighley's Auto in downtown Sharon. Later he was employed at the former Midas Auto Service, Walmart and most recently at M&R Power Equipment, all in Hermitage.
Lester was a Jeep enthusiast and was a member of the Mercer County House of Jeeps club. He enjoyed "wrenching," riding motorcycles with friends, off-roading and going to the Shenango Valley's Father's Day car show with his children. Lester looked forward to spending time with his family around the holidays and making sure his home was decorated for the season.
He is survived by his wife, the former Debra Trowbridge, whom he married Septermber 11, 1982; a daughter, Angelica (Michael, Sr.) Brown, Greenville; two sons, Gregory (Jessica) Beighley; and Lester Beighley, Jr. and his fiancé Jessicarae Terlitsky, all of Sharon; eleven grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Zackery and Jasper Brown; Nathanael, Xander, Gavin, Mathew, Kelsey and Joshua Beighley; Samantha Mortimer; and Hunter Krznar; and a brother, William Beighley, Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday (10/2/2018) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be at noon, Tuesday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, officiating.
Interment: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
