Leone M. Heubel, 92, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024.

Leone was born on August 6, 1931, and lived her early life in upstate New York. Following high school, she entered the U.S. Women's Army Corps (WAC) where she quickly rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class, an accomplishment of which she was most proud. Upon her honorable discharge, she entered the workforce where she met her husband, John, whom she married in 1956. Together they founded the Heubel Material Handling Company in Kansas City, Missouri. They grew a successful business enterprise, eventually retiring and moving to Florida.

A devout Catholic, Leone was a member of the Church of Our Savior, Cocoa Beach, FL, where she nurtured her faith and participated in various ministries, such as singing in the choir.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Coral Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and an abundance of great-nieces and nephews.

Leone was preceded in death by her husband, John, of 38 years; and her only brother, Leslie Moore.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday (04/29/2024) in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, 1035 Dutch Ln., Hermitage, PA, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery.
