Leo A. Mickey, 94, of New Castle, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2024, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Mr. Mickey was born December 12, 1929, in Everson, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Kusiak) Mickey, and graduated from Ambridge High School (Beaver Co.).
Leo managed several theatres throughout his life, most notably the Penn Theatre, Hi-Lander, Cinema, and Westgate, all in New Castle. He also organized the New Castle Christmas Parade for many years.
Leo was a member of Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle - St. Mary's Church.
A devoted father and husband, he loved spending time with his family.
His beloved wife of 68 years, Loretta (Matanick) Mickey, whom he married May 7, 1955, preceded him in death on May 18, 2023.
Mickey is survived by a daughter, Janet L. Reno (Keith), of Ellwood City; three sons, Kenneth A. Mickey, of Chicora, PA, Gary Mickey, of Ellwood City, and David Mickey (Niki), of New Castle; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Fozard, Altoona, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Leo was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Edward, Henry, and Robert Mickey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Parish - St. Camillus Church, 314 W. Englewood Ave., New Castle, with Rev. Ben Barr, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Union Twp.
