Lenore A. Salatino of St. John XXII Home, Hermitage, formerly of N. Buhl Farm Dr., Hermitage, passed away at
7:30 a.m.
Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 99.
Mrs. Salatino was born December 18, 1917, in Farrell, a daughter of Louis and Angeline Magnovita Gallichio. She attended Farrell schools and was a lifelong area resident. Lenore retired in 1981 as a press operator from Packard Electric Corporation, a division of General Motors, Warren, Ohio, where she was employed for 28 years. She was a member of the I.U.E., Local # 717.
A homemaker, Lenore was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church, Farrell, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Her husband, Anthony J. Salatino, whom she married November 13, 1936, passed away April 2, 1973. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Donohue and her husband Robert, San Francisco; three grandchildren, Leslie Donohue, Kimberly Phillips and Gina Ricciardi; 4 great-grandchildren, Cameron and Pierce Phillips; and Sammy and Sophie Ricciardi; a sister, Rose Viselli, Hermitage; a brother, John Gallichio, Brookfield; several nieces and nephews; a great great nephew; and a sister-in-law, Helen Gallichio, Hermitage.
Besides her husband, Lenore was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jerry Salatino and John Salatino; two sisters, Tomasina Salatino and Filomena Pisegna; and a brother James "Vince" Gallichio.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929. Per Lenore's request, services are private.
