Laurel Keene Pillsbury, 69, of New Castle, passed away surrounded by her family Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Ms. Pillsbury was born September 14, 1955, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late William and Vertalee (McCusker) Pillsbury. A 1973 graduate of Dulaney High School, Timonium, MD, she later went on to earn her master's degree in English from Palm Beach Atlantic College, West Palm Beach, FL.

Laurel enjoyed spending hours researching into her family's ancestry, completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, collecting seashells at the beach, and everything Disney, especially taking her children to Disney World where they created lifelong memories. She was dedicated to her family, and will be remembered as a sweet, kind, loving, selfless, and always smiling person.

She is survived by her two daughters, Leeann Guccione (Kyra Kerfoot), Enon Valley, and Hope Guccione (John Smith), New Castle; a brother, William Pillsbury (Linda Joyce), York, PA; two sisters, Vertalee Yankowski (James) Parrish, FL, and Teresa Pillsbury, Oceanview, DE; and her five adoring grandchildren, Godric, Luna, Scarlett, Sage, and Adeline.

In keeping with Laurel's wishes, there will be no services.
