Laurel Lee Morgan of 965 Clarksville Rd. Hermitage, passed away at 4:35 a.m. on Thursday December 1, 2011 in Sharon Regional Health Systems. She was 86.
She was born on April 5, 1925 in Wheatland the daughter of Martin and Lyda Hoffman Cole.
Laurel graduated from Farrell High School. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family meant the world to her.
Mrs. Morgan was of the protestant faith. She enjoyed baking pies, watching baseball and reading.
Her husband, William H. Morgan, whom she married October 20, 1941, passed away on January 9, 2000.
She is also survived by 2 daughters, Lori and her husband David Mathieson, of Hermitage, PA and Bonnie Plotts of Powder Springs, GA; 9 Grandchildren, Justine, Randall, Ryan, Jeffrey, Karri, Beth Ann, David, Diane, David Jr.; 11 Great Grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Laurel was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Bucci; a son, David Morgan; a son in law, Jeffrey Plotts; 2 sisters, Helen Garrett and Carol Tulip; a brother, Martin J. Cole.
Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the funeral home with Rev. Charles C. Eckles, pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries.
Internment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
