Laura Lee Cowmeadow, 49, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday evening, January 6, 2026, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Laura was born January 10, 1976, in New Castle, a daughter of Kenneth and Mary Jane (Biega) Cowmeadow, and graduated from Lawrence County Vo-Tech.
Laura was of the Catholic faith.
She loved spending time outdoors, especially while mowing the lawn, and adored her pet cats. Laura also cherished time spent with family and always looked forward to playing boardgames and cards with them.
Laura is survived by her mother, Mary “Jane” Cowmeadow, and her loving companion, Rob, of New Castle; a sister, Jennifer Sue Britt (Jamie), of Milford, PA; a beloved aunt who was like a second mother, Susan Beall, of New Galilee, PA; and two nieces, Haley and Kassie Britt.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Cowmeadow; maternal grandparents, Felix and Gennieve Biega; and paternal grandparents, Ed and Margaret Searfoss.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (1-9-26) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Holy Spirit Parish – St. Vitus Church, 910 S. Mill St., New Castle, with Rev. Aaron Kriss, as celebrant.
Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Ellwood City, PA.
