Obituary
Larry James Larson of Hermitage passed away peacefully at 3:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016, in his residence.
He was 66.
Mr. Larson was born August 6, 1949, in Mississippi, the only child of Harold and Effie Larson.
He received a degree in mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA and worked for Sharp Computer Company.
Upon moving to the Shenango Valley, Larry was a prominent businessman and founded Larcan Corporation in 1976 and Eastern Software Corporation in 1983, both Sharon.
He was also the former owner of Elite Firearms, Hermitage, and CTS, Inc.
He enjoyed scuba diving and sailing. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be to the National Humane Society.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 , in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Interment: Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Murfreesboro, TN.
