Obituary

Larry 'Ed' Heckathorn of 781 Crowder Ave. Sharon, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. in UPMC Mercy Hospital. He was 64.

Mr. Heckathorn was born in New Castle, PA on September 20, 1946, a son of Harold W. Sr. and Hilda G. Burdette Heckathorn.

He was a graduate of West Middlesex High School.

Following high school, Ed went to work for Industrial Steel Corporation in Youngstown where he employed as a slitter operator.

Mr. Heckathorn was of the Presbyterian faith. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

She is survived by, a son, Todd and his wife Heather of Morrisville, PA; 3 brother, Richard and his wife Jeann Heckathorn of Hermitage; 3 sisters, Shirley Bastide of New Castle, PA, Carol Moore of Mercer, PA, and Nancy and her husband Carl Myers of Farrell, PA; a grandson, Cole Heckathorn. Ed is also survived by a sister-in-law Norma Jean Heckathorn of Farrell, PA;

Besides her parents, Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Harold W. Heckathorn Jr.

Calling Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Augie Hurst, pastor of Lebanon United Presbyterian Church in West Middlesex.

Internment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
