Larry L. Corbin,59,of 1015 Winslow Ave.,passed away late Friday (06-05-09) afternoon of natural causes in Jameson Hospital.
He was born in Sharon,PA on March 18,1950,the son of the late Clark Corbin and Mary Parson Corbin. Larry was a 1968 graduate of Hickory High School,Hermitage,PA. He was first married to the former Karen Slaugenhoup on January 17,1987 and she preceded him in death on August 8,2006. He then Married the former Michelle Pletcher on March 7,2009.Retiring in 1997 form the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergent after serving for twenty nine years, he served in Vietnam, Dessert Shield And Dessert Storm.He was currently employed as the branch manager for the past two years at Professional Transportation, Inc. He was a member of 910/757 TH Veterans Association. In his younger days he enjoyed golfing and the outdoors.A very loving and giving man throughout his life he will be missed by all who knew him.Larry was a member of the Arlington Avenue Free Methodist Church.
He Leave his wife Michelle of New Castle,one Son James Clark Corbin of New Castle,a brother and sister in law Frederick and Anne Corbin of Hermitage,PA. One Sister Constance Kaba of Michigan, his mother and father in law, James and Alice Pletcher of Ruffsdale,PA
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 To 7:00 P.M. at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home & Crematory,111 W. Falls St.,New Castle,PA.16101.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M.,conducted by the Rev. Chris Schumske,Pastor of Arlington Avenue Free Methodist Church. Full military rites will be held by the New Castle Area Honor Guard in the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and his first wife was an infant sister.
