Larry A. "Lippy" Armagost, 57, of 833 Brinton St., New Castle, PA passed away the morning of August 15, 2009, in UPMC Hospital, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.
Larry was born August 14, 1952 in New Castle a son of Edward A. and Phyllis J. Cathers Armagost. He was a 1971 graduate of Laurel High School wher he was a standout football player. He was employed at Rockwell International for nearly twenty years. He then received his welding certificate from the New Castle School of Trades and worked as a welder at Champion Carrier Corp. in Hermitage, PA for nine years. He attended Neshannock Presbyterian Church on Fairground Rd. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He aws a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and will be remembered by many for his many conversion vans.
Surviving are: a son, Larry A. "Little Lip" Armagost, at home; his mother, Phyllis Armagost, New Castle; two sisters, Barbara L. Farone and her husband Michael, Mt. Jackson; and Rebecca A. Phares and her husband Ronald, New Castle; one niece; and three nephews.
