L. Wayne Searcy of Wheatland, PA passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 5:25 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital. He was 63.

Mr. Searcy was born in Tryon, NC on November 22, 1947, a son of Edgar D. and Addie Mae Rainwater Searcy.

Wayne retired in 1989 from Earnhardt Trucking Company, where he was a truck driver for many years.

He was a former member of the Farrell Moose and Saxon Club. Wayne enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Sue Johnson Searcy, whom he married January 14, 1995; 2 daughters, Rhonda Searcy of South Carolina and Candace Gill of Farrell, PA; 2 sons, Dennis Searcy of South Carolina and Stevie Gill and his wife Mary of Ohio; a brother William Searcy and his wife Kathy of Columbus, NC; 2 grandsons, Tyler and Nicholas; 3 granddaughters, Cassie, Heather, and Daniell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Walter E. 'Bud' Searcy and Walden Searcy; 4 sisters, Edna Mae Searcy, Doris Moore, Murile Pruitt, and Ruby Bridges.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from12 to 2 p.m. in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146.

A funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Anderson, pastor of Church of God of Prophecy, Lebanon, OH in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146.

Memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice.

Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following the service at the Moose Lodge #55 on Division St. Farrell, PA.
