Kitty L. Piccirilli, 70, of Hermitage, passed away late Sunday evening, June 21, 2026, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Mrs. Piccirilli was born July 23, 1955, in Grove City, PA, a daughter of the late George Duane and Barbara (Streily) Gerlach.

Since 1985, Kitty has worked at Kraynak’s in Hermitage, where she has held a variety of roles.

Kitty was a member of the Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage.

Kitty cherished children, generously cared for others, especially her sister, Betty, and was devoted to her husband, Jerry, of 51 years, and their two sons. Her joyful spirit and warm sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Kitty enjoyed spending time at home with family while gardening, cooking, or caring for those she loved most.

Her beloved husband, Gerald “Jerry” Piccirilli, whom she married on July 25, 1974, survives at home in Hermitage.

Kitty is also survived by two sons, Joseph Piccirilli (Jill), of Mars, PA, and Brian Piccirilli, of Hermitage; five grandchildren; four sisters, Janice M. Terna (Jerry), of Greenville, PA, Cynthia L. Garrett (Larry), of Augusta, GA, Patti Yingling, of Sharon, and Barbara M. McCracken (Richard), of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by three brothers, George Duane Gerlach, Jr., Jack Leonard Gerlach, and John Albert Gerlach; and one sister, Betty Jane Shoup.

Kitty will be remembered and missed by those whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be directed to the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Ave., Hermitage, PA 16148; or the Prince of Peace Center, 502 Darr Ave., Farrell, PA 16121.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday (6-26-26) in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, with Rev. John Miller, as celebrant.

Entombment: St. Rose Mausoleum, Hermitage.
