Funeral service will be Friday for Kimberly M. Baker, Hermitage, who passed away peacefully at 11:14 p.m. Sunday (12-7-14) in her residence following a brief illness from complications of cerebral palsy. She was 26. Ms. Baker was born April 28, 1988, in Youngstown, a daughter of Bruce A. and Christine R. Root Baker. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from West Middlesex High School in 2006. For the past five years, she attended Whole Life's adult training facility, Hermitage. A member of Miracle Valley Church in Hermitage, she always looked forward to attending services on Wednesday night. Kim enjoyed listening to country and Christian music, fishing, and watching the car races at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday nights. Kimberly especially loved spending time with her sister Kara and her brother Todd. They both will miss her dearly. She is survived by her mother, Christine R. Baker, with whom she made her home; her father, Bruce A. Baker, Mercer; her sister, Kara L. Baker and her companion Michael Hoffman, Hartford; her brother, Todd A. Baker and his wife Gina, New Wilmington; her maternal grandmother, Karen Root, West Middlesex; a niece, Allee Hoffman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kimberly was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, David Root; and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Shirley Baker.
