Kevin P. Carter, 52, of Sharon, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away following a long-term battle with mental health on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in his home.
Kevin was born on June 7, 1972, in Greenville, PA, a son of the late George Carter and Lia (Azzato) Luciani. He was a 1991 graduate of Greenville High School and attended Laurel Technical Institute.
He spent most of his working career as a delivery driver, spending more than 20 years at Health Care Solutions, Farrell. Most recently he was employed by Fed Ex, Hermitage location.
Kevin was of the Catholic faith.
A sports fanatic, he was a fan of Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and the Boston Red Sox. Above all, he loved attending his boys' and niece's and nephew's sporting activities. Additionally, he had a passion for music and movies and enjoyed bike riding, taking many trips around Presque Isle, Erie and Pymatuning Lake.
He is survived by his wife, the former Erin Greene, whom he married on August 10, 2013; three step-sons, Zachery, Andrew and Mason Henderson; his step-father, Frank Luciani and his wife Tia, Greenville; his mother-in-law, Delores Greene, Sharpsville; three siblings, Marc Carter and his wife Molly, Greenville, Gina Luciani, Hermitage, and Teresa Findley and her husband Tim, Clark, PA; two step-siblings, Alex Fisher, Hermitage, and Megan Fisher, Greenville; and seven nieces and nephews.
"He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, loving and thoughtful heart, and warm presence."
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Community Counseling Center of Mercer County, 2201 East State St., Hermitage, PA 16148.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (10/29/2024) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (10/30/2024) in St. Michael Catholic Church, 85 North High St., Greenville, PA 16125, with Rev. John Miller and Rev. Brandon Kleckner, concelebrating.
Interment: St. Michael's Cemetery, Greenville.
