Kenneth Wayne Zeigler Jr.

Kenneth Wayne Zeigler, Jr., 77, of New Castle passed away Friday morning, August 28, 2026, in his home.

Wayne was born December 16, 1948, in New Castle, a son of the late Kenneth and Clara (Scriven) Zeigler. A lifelong area resident he was a 1966 graduate of New Castle High School.

A proud veteran, Wayne enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War

He retired in 2015 after working for many years at Rockwell Internation, New Castle, and Koppel Steel, Koppel, PA.

A devout Christian, Wayne was a member of First United Brethren Church, New Castle, where he sang in the church choir.

Wayne was a member of the American Legion post 343, New Castle.

He enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, listening to The Beatles, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Wayne leaves behind his wife of 47 years, the former Judy Suber, who survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Faith Zeigler-Maloney; three sons, Michael Zeigler, Andy Zeigler, and his wife, Jody; and Matt Kaprutus; a sister, Karen Hughes; and three grandchildren, Nicolette Mileto, Torrin Zeigler, and Alavia Zeigler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
