Obituary

Kenneth Robert Bridge, 83, of Masury, OH, formerly of Hermitage, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, in his residence.

Mr. Bridge was born June 2, 1935, in South Greensburg, PA, a son of the late Kenneth Gilbert and Edna Pearl (Bauman) Bridge. He attended Shenango Twp. schools, Lawrence County through the 11th grade and graduated from Sharon High School in 1953.

He retired as a switchman in 1993 from the former Bell Telephone Company where he worked for 39 years.

Ken was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex and a former member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.

An avid outdoorsman, Ken enjoyed hunting, boating, snow and water skiing and playing volleyball.

His wife, the former Mary Ann Bukovinsky, whom he married March 2, 1957, passed away November 4, 2017.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Chupak and her husband Jerry, of West Middlesex, and Deborah J. Gilson and her husband Douglas, of Mercer; three sons, Kenneth M. Bridge, of S. Pymatuning Twp., Robert A. Bridge and his wife Christine, of Masury, and Thomas S. Bridge and his wife Kimberly, of Hermitage; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Chupak; Darcie and Daelyn Gilson and Brandon, Nicole, Kylie, Christian, Beverly, Vanessa, Mason and Maryann Bridge.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, James Bridge.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to SouthernCare Hospice, 5401 Ashley Cir., Suite E, Austintown, OH 44515.

Calling hour will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday (04/18/2019) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be at noon Thursday, in the funeral home with Ellen Barney, Chaplin at SouthernCare Hopsice, officiating.

Interment: St. Ann's Cemetery, Hermitage.
