IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keith Leroy
Smith
January 10, 1956 – February 2, 2025
Keith Leroy Smith, 69, of East Palestine, OH, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, in The Grove at New Wilmington.
Mr. Smith was born January 10, 1956, in Beaver Falls, PA, a son of the late Leroy and Dorothy (Renn) Smith.
Keith worked at Ray Brenner Painting and Decorating, and then went on to work at CW Smith Contracting. He retired from Davaco Co. as a successful business contractor and project manager specializing in architectural layout.
Keith was of the Methodist faith.
Keith was passionately dedicated to his work and always working on a project of his own uniquely handcrafted designs. His craftsmanship is showcased throughout Beaver County and beyond. Keith loved to hunt with his father, grandfather, brother, and brothers-in-law. Many tales were shared over the years, especially those "cheap" eggs.
He built his own Volkswagen Dune Buggy and his own Soapbox Derby Car, both of which he enjoyed racing. He even made homemade wooden skis, screwed them to their boots, and skied down Stacy Avenue behind his pickup truck.
Keith enjoyed riding horses at Aunt Freda and Brenda's farms - often caught in the middle of the night feeding or caring for them. He was a man of many talents, songwriting being one of them. His best friend, brother-in-law, and buddy, "Boots," could always bring a smile to his face. They shared many, many good memories.
We will miss you, "Goober," until we meet again.
Keith is survived by his children, Racquel Teapole (Chuck), and Zach Young (Mandy), all of Beaver Falls, Keith Smith (Jessica), of Industrial, PA, and Delrae Veon Trawick, of Clearfield, UT; seven siblings Linda Corbin (James) and Sondra Feezle (John), all of East Palestine, OH., Victoria Corbin (Jerry), of Beaver Falls, Kathy Stepek (Walter), of Darlington, PA, Constance Rittelmann (David), of Beaver Falls, Dianna Figley (Thomas), of Largo, FL, and Brenda Smithbauer (Donnie), of Punta Gorda, FL; three grandchildren, Caleb Young, Bradley Wyatt Trawick, and Ella Mae Smith; and his former spouse, Leslie (Veon) Smith.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his former wife, Linda R. Brenner; a sister, Deborah J. Mortimer; and a brother DeWayne K. Smith.
A celebration of Keith's life will take place at a future date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
