Keith E. Nelson of 879 Mayfield Rd. Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly at 8:53 a.m. Thursday (12-4-08) in his home. He was 49.
A son of Robert J. and Phyllis Whalen Nelson, he was born Aug. 13, 1959, in Sharon.
A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1977.
Keith was a professional baker for 35 years, having worked at several local bakeries during that time.
He was an active member of Miracle Valley Church, Hermitage, where he enjoyed taking part in their praise and worship musical ministry as both a bass guitarist and as their sound man.
He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
He leaves his mother, Phyllis W. Nelson, Sharpsville; a sister, Theresa N. Monilaw and her husband Douglas, Sharon; a brother, John R. Nelson and his wife Barbara, Orlando, FL.; and his two sons, David A. and Derrick J. Nelson; one daughter, Alexandria Nelson; and his wife Melissa.
He was preceded in death by: his father in November of this year.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Nelson Memorial Scholarship Fund established for his children's education needs, in care of Shenango Valley Foundation, 33 Chestnut St., Sharon. (Please write 'Nelson Family' in the memo of the check).

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (12-8-08) in Miracle Valley Church 2119 Valley View Rd. Hermitage, with the Rev. Samuel DeJoy, pastor.
Internment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
