Kayla Rose Sundy of Wheeling, W.V., formerly of Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep Wednesday morning, May 17, 2017. She was 23.
Kayla was born July 15, 1993, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of William Sundy, Sr. and Linda Conti Sundy. She was a 2011 graduate of Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage; and during her senior year also completed courses at Mercer Co. Career Center, Mercer, earning her Certified Nurse's Assistant certificate. Kayla attended Youngstown State University and worked at various places throughout the Shenango Valley providing care to the elderly, the mentally and physically handicapped and children, whom she adored.
Most recently, she was worked as a teacher at Noah's Ark Child Care and Learning Center, Wheeling, W.V.
Kayla was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Fatima, Farrell.
She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, particularly watching the Pittsburgh Steelers games. Kayla was kind and caring person, which was exemplified through her love of animals, including her three dogs, Roxy, Rudy and Layla; and her kitten, Lucy.
She is survived by: her fiancé, Drew Loutzenhiser, Wheeling, W.V.; her parents, William and Linda Sundy, Sr., Hermitage; two brothers, William Sundy, Jr. and his fiancé Alexis Pfeifer, Cranberry, PA; and Bryan Sundy and his fiancé Christie Valentino, Buffalo, NY; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kayla was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Alice Wickline; and maternal grandparents, Antonio and Rose Conti.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (5-23-17) in Our Lady of Fatima, 601 Roemer Blvd, Farrell, PA 16121, with Rev. Matthew J. Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant; assisted by Deacon Sean Kerins.
Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
