Kathryn L. "Kay" Hoffmaster, 84, of North Beaver Twp. passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, December 20, 2018, in her residence.

Mrs. Hoffmaster was born October 30, 1934, in Sharon, a daughter of Robert Lee and Dorothea A. (Powell) Sherer. A 1952 alumnus of New Castle High School, she worked as a bank teller and receptionist for 17 years prior to starting her own business.

Kay owned and operated Clean Plus Cleaning Services for 32 years, which provided residential and commercial service throughout the area until her retirement 2014.

She was a member of the former Calvary Assembly of God Church, Bessemer.

Her husband, Albert G. Hoffmaster, whom she married April 20, 1955, survives at home.

Also surviving are three daughters, Laurel L. Stahlman, Betsy P. (Gary) Schooley and Melissa L. (Randall) Smart, all of New Castle; a son, Martin S. Hoffmaster, also of New Castle; a sister, Donna M. Hughes, Powell, WY; and seven grandchildren.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018, in Family Worship Center of New Castle, 23 W. Washington St., New Castle, with Rev. Gary Arnold, officiating.

Interment: Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle.
