Kathryn Mae Custer Kurtz of Sharon, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in her daughter's residence. She was 51.

Ms. Kurtz was born in Sharon, PA on April 27, 1959, a daughter of the Russell Lowell and Dorothy Poweski Custer.

Kathryn was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sharpsville Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was involved in the church women's ministries. She enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and the Pittsburgh Steelers, collecting unicorns, and cross stitching. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by, her father, Russell Lowell Custer of Masury, OH; a daughter, Melissa and her husband David Klingensmith of Hermitage, PA; a son, Joseph Kurtz of Sharon, PA; 6 sisters, Ruth and her husband William Hawkins of Masury, OH, Nettie Phillips of Sharon, PA, Mary and her husband William McKelvey of Masury, OH, Patricia Gera of Sharon, PA, Debbie and her husband Mitch Nickells of Brookfield, OH, and Roberta and her husband Tim Henry of Masury, OH; 4 brothers, Russell 'Joseph' and his wife Sandy Custer of Emlenton, PA, Arthur 'Benny' Custer of Masury, OH, Stephen 'Peewee' and his wife Diana Custer of Warren, OH, and Calvin and his wife Kimberly Custer of Masury, OH; 3 grandchildren, Anthony, Luke, and Noah Klingensmith all of Hermitage, PA.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Geneva Custer.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010 in the Sharpsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 240 Church St. Sharpsville, PA 16150 with Rev. Hazel Fitzgerald.
