Kathleen M. (Kelley) Phillips of Hubbard, Ohio, formerly of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday (10-24-16) in her home. She was 51.
Kathy was born August 25, 1965, in Sharon, the only child of Patrick J. and Geraldine (Puhala) Kelley.
A lifelong area resident, she was a 1983 graduate of Sharon High School and attended the former Shenango Valley School of Business in Sharon.
Kathy was an exceptional homemaker and liked decorating her home. She also loved her dogs and cats and enjoyed playing bingo, going out to eat with her friends, shopping and supporting her husband's racing team at Sharon Speedway.
She was a former member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
Surviving are: her husband, Paul E. Phillips, whom she married June 22, 1985 in St. Joseph Church, Sharon; her parents, Pat and Geri Kelley, Hermitage; two sons, Bradley M. Phillips and his partner, Justin McIntosh; and Bryan P. Phillips and his companion, Kamesha Perry; her father- and mother-in-law, Alton "Skip" and Joanne Phillips, Masury; a sister-in-law, Terri Williams, Champion, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents and an aunt, Catherine Ginther.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, October 27, 2016, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, officiating.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
