Katharina Reichert of Hermitage passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017, in Saint John XXIII Home, Hermitage, after an extended illness. She was 92.
Mrs. Reichert was born December 28, 1924 in Rastadt, Ukraine, the daughter of Daniel and Katharina Hirsch Fisher.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Sharon. Katharina was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking. She loved working in her garden.
Surviving are her husband, John Reichert, Hermitage, whom she married November 24, 1946, in Germany; two daughters, Erna and her husband John Grzejka, Haymarket, VA; and Mary Ann Shreffler of Century, FL; two grandsons, John Grzejka, Haymarket, VA; and Bobby Shreffeler, Pensacola, FL; four great grandsons, Christian and Nicholas both of Haymarket, VA; and Peyton and Landon both of Pensacola, FL; and two sisters and two brothers in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Erika Andrak; one sister and one brother.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Joseph Campbell, pastor, St. Anthony's Church, Sharon
Interment: Our Lady of Mount Caramel Cemetery, Farrell.
