Karen J. Mayle Wiesen, a 20 year resident of Judson Rd., Masury Ohio, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away at 7:34 a.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, in O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, after an extended illness. She was 66.
Karen was born October 28, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Michael and Arlene Welton Mavracick.
She was a 1963 graduate of Greenville High School and received an associate degree in business from the former Shenango Valley Commercial Institute, Sharon.
Karen retired in 2002 from K Mart in Hermitage where she was a cashier for ten years.
Surviving are: her husband, Raymond C. Wiesen, whom she married June 27, 1992; a son, Roger L. Mayle, Jr. and his fiancé Marri Schmidt, Austintown, Ohio; her mother, Arlene Mavracick, a resident of Whispering Oak's in Hermitage; a sister, Darlene Dorfi and her husband Andrew, Sharpsville; a brother, Michael Mavracick, Jr. and his wife Diane, Aston, Pa; a step-son, Raymond C. Wiesen, Jr., Masury; a step-daughter, Diane E. Rose and her husband Richard, Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren, David Neely and his wife Lydia; Stacia and Joshua Madasz; Raymond A. Wiesen; and Danielle and Rachel Rose; three great grandchildren, Raven, DJ and Baylee; and several extended family members.
Karen was preceded in death by her father; and her first husband, Roger L. Mayle, Sr. who died in 1984.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children Research Fund, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, Tenn. 38105; or to the American Cancer Society.
Calling hours: Noon to time of service on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
