Karen S. Mensurati, 78, a longtime resident of Sharon, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, September 26, 2024, in St. Paul's Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Mensurati was born July 3, 1946, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Donald and Vergilia (Brown) Garland, and graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1965.
As a young woman, she worked at the GM Div. of Packard Electric in Warren, OH, and later worked for the Parking Authority in Sharon. Karen retired from UPMC Horizon Hospital in Farrell where she worked in housekeeping.
Karen was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, where she was active in the Women's Guild for many years.
An avid vegetable and flower gardener, she also had a passion for crafting and designed beautiful wreaths from synthetic florals.
Her husband of 46 years, Emilio "Elmer" Mensurati, who she married July 27, 1968, preceded her in death February 23, 2015.
Karen is survived by a daughter, Judy Rogers (Ed), Sharon; two step-sons, Ernest Mensurati (Rita), Berea, OH, and Jerry Mensurati (Melissa), Brookfield, OH; a brother, Don Garland (Kathy), Brookfield, OH; six grandchildren, Ashtyn and Lexi Rogers, Matthew and Dominic Mensurati, Amanda Homady (Kyle Murray), and Emily Mensurati.
In addition to her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in death by a sister, Cinda Garland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, in St. Joseph Church, 79 Case Ave., Sharon, with Rev. James Power, as celebrant.
Entombment: St. Rose Mausoleum, Hermitage.
