Karen Lynne Koehler Radde, 88, of Hermitage, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Grove Manor, Grove City, PA.

Mrs. Radde was born on January 9, 1935, in Owasso, Michigan, to Russell L. and Mildred (Keyes) Koehler. She graduated from Redford High School, in Detroit, MI, and attended Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, earning a degree in communications and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Shortly after graduating she married Dale Edward Radde, a fellow MSU grad, in a ceremony at Alumni Memorial Chapel on the MSU campus.

She was employed by the Pet Milk Company in St. Louis, MO, and later worked in the newsroom of The Delaware Gazette, Delaware, OH. Her career also included stints with the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Benick and Associates, and North Hills Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. While living in Ohio, She served for several years on the board of the Children's Home of Delaware, and later, in Pittsburgh, she assisted in the creation of the Ross/West View Emergency Medical Service and was a member of its first administrative board.

Following she and her husband's retirement in 1992, the couple moved to Lake Latonka, Mercer County, PA, and spent winters in New Port Richey, FL.

Karen was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon.

She is survived by her husband at home; two daughters, Kimberly Kay Radde Hunchuk and her husband Dr. Allan M. Hunchuk, Sharon, and Kristen Anne Radde Serrao and her husband Raymond P. Serrao, Pittsburgh; two grandsons, Zachary Tomas Hunchuk and Nikolas Radde Hunchuk, both of Sharon.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, in Christ Lutheran Church, 396 Buhl Blvd., Sharon, PA 16146 .
