IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Leone
Braden
November 9, 1942 – January 30, 2024
Karen Leone Braden, 81, of Hermitage, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in her home.
Ms. Braden was born on November 9, 1942, in Meadville, PA, a daughter of Howard Robert and Kathryn L. (Davenport) Bristol. She was a 1960 graduate of Greenville High School.
Karen had a deep love for traveling, especially beach trips to the ocean. This passion led her to an exciting career in travel consultation. She began working at Anderson Coach and Travel, Greenville, and eventually started her own business "Your Travel Partner" in Sharon. Later, she owned and operated a bed and breakfast in Mt. Vernon, OH. Karen was also employed by the Bair Foundation, New Wilmington, and retired as a state information counselor.
She held a lifelong love of both NASCAR and dirt track racing. Karen was a family friend of the Blaneys and was Ryan Blaney's number-one fan.
A social butterfly, Karen enjoyed the art of conversation. Her vast knowledge in a wide array of subjects made it easy and natural to connect with others. She was also a fine food connoisseur, who enjoyed cooking and dining out.
She is survived by a daughter, Colleen Lentz and Chris Hollabaugh, Thomasville, PA; three grandchildren, Mikel Herbert (Jessica), Stephen Herbert, and Gina Lentz; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hufschmidt, and Hanna and Hailey Herbert. Also surviving is a sister, Barbara Fuchs and Ron Miller, Brookfield, OH; and a niece and nephew, Andrea Rader (Joe), and Nick Mehelic (Ann).
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Peter Fuchs.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, C/O the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation, at www.RyanBlaneyFamilyFoundation.org
In keeping with Karen's wishes, there are no services.
