Karen Arthur of 6512 Merwin-Chase Rd., Brookfield, OH, passed away at 3:58 a.m. Sunday (12-21-2008) at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was 60.
Mrs. Arthur was born in Sharon, PA on September 22, 1948, a daughter of Steve and Margaret Raykie Klapach.
She was a 1966 graduate of Sharon High School.
Karen retired in 1999 as a Cutter Operator for Packard Electric.
Mrs. Arthur was a member of St.'s Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon. She enjoyed boating, motorcycle rides, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include: Her husband, Gerald Arthur, whom she married July 11, 1970; 2 daughters, Shelly and her husband Jeffrey Komorek of Hubbard, OH, Brandy and her husband Robert Davies Jr. of Columbus, OH; a son, Gerald and his wife Dana Arthur of Brunswick, OH; a sister, Charlotte Follmeyer of Hermitage, PA; 4 grandchildren, Nathan and Lauren Komorek, and Robert III and Brady Davies.
She was preceded in death by: her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (12-23-2008) at the St.'s Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon. With Rev. Jeffrey Harter.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 PM Monday (12-22-2008) at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
Burial will be in Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.
