Obituary

Julie A. Buckley Meszaros, 110 S. Myers Ave., Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 9:43 p.m. Monday (5-16-11) in Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, of complications from breast cancer after a courageous three year battle. She was 43.

Julie was born February 11, 1968 in Sharon a daughter of David J. and Sylvia A. Matusick Weber.

She was a 1986 graduate of Sharon High School where she played the flute in the marching band and was a member of the cross country team. She matriculated to Edinboro (PA) State University where she earned a bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and was a Little Sister with the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.

Julie was a speech therapist for the West Middlesex Area School District for the past five years and previously worked for the Mercer Area School District and the Children Center of Mercer County, Hermitage.

Julie was a member of St. Joseph Church and a former member of Church of the Sacred Heart, both Sharon. She loved teaching, particularly with special needs children, and was a member of the PSEA (Pennsylvania State Education Association) and the NEA (National Education Association).

She was an extremely dedicated mom to her daughter and step-sons and will be remembered by many for her sense of humor and contagious laugh. Julie was very passionate and had many friendships because of her loving, caring and generous personality. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Surviving are: her husband at home, Dave Meszaros; a daughter, Natalie M. Buckley, a 4th grade student at Case Ave. Elementary School; her parents, Dave and Sylvia Weber, Sharon; two step-sons, Zac D. Meszaros, a 7th grade student at Sharon Middle School; and Eli P. Meszaros, a 5th grade student at Sugar Creek Elementary School, Karns City, PA; a sister, Shari Williams and her husband John, Champion, Ohio; a brother, Matt Weber and his wife Jamie and their children, Jackson and Gavin, who is also her Godson, Kernersville, N.C.; her former husband, Michael 'Mick' Buckley and his mother Ruth Buckley, both Sharon; the extended Buckley family; two special aunts, Martha Hench and her husband Chuck, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Janet Weber, Masury, Ohio; brothers- and sister-in-law, John Meszaros, Miami, FL; Jerry Meszaros, Sharon; and Karen Daily, Sharpsville; her father-in-law, Sonny Meszaros and his wife Bonnie, Jamestown, PA; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends; and her dog a!

Besides her grandparents, Julie was preceded in death by her husband's mother, Carol Sue Behary; and her former father-in-law, Theodore 'Ted' Buckley.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 East Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124; or the Children Center of Mercer County, 900 N. Hermitage Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

Calling hours will be from 4-8 Friday (5-20-11) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
