Obituary

Julia Alice Sabulsky, 95 Riddell St., Wheatland, PA passed away Sunday afternoon (12-06-09). She was 85.

Mrs. Sabulsky was born June 14, 1924 in Sharon a daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Rudzenski Zeronas.

She was a lifelong area resident and attended school in Wheatland and Farrell High School.

During the 1940's, she was employed as a baker at the former Ideal Bakery on Broadway Ave. in Farrell.

A gifted homemaker, Julia was a longtime active member of St. Adalbert Church, Farrell, where she was a member of the choir, the St. Adalbert Prayer Group and participated in making pierogi as a fundraiser for the church. She was a member of the Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and was an avid Farrell High School sports fan. Julia was very proud of her home and meticulous in its maintenance. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake for her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by her family, particularly her grandchildren whom she adored.

Her husband, Theodore 'Ted' Sabulsky, whom she married June 12, 1948 in the former St. Elizabeth Church in Farrell, passed away September 9, 2006.

Surviving are: a daughter, Patricia Falconi and her husband Louis A. Falconi, Farrell; a son, Joseph Sabulsky, Jefferson City, MO; three grandchildren, Lori, Lisa and Louis, Jr. Falconi; two sisters, Eleanor Miller and her husband Raymond, Hermitage, PA; and Joanna Herrick, Oxnard, CA; and a sister-in-law, Louise Zeronas, Transfer, PA.

Besides her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Shupienis and Antoinette Hutz; and four brothers, two who died in infancy and Albert and Anthony Zeronas.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Adalbert Church, c/o St. Anthony's Church, 804 Idaho St., Sharon, PA 16146.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday (12-09-09) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. The St. Adalbert Prayer Group will recite the rosary at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (12-09-09) in the funeral home prior to calling hours.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday (12-10-09) in St. Adalbert Church, 1035 Fruit Ave., Farrell, with the Rev. Daniel Kresinski, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage.
