Obituary

Julia Kebaugh, 331 S. Oakdale Ave. , Hermitage , PA passed away at 8:20 a.m. Sunday (8-9-09) in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, following a brief illness. She was 90.

Mrs. Kebaugh was born July 13, 1919 in Sharon , PA a daughter of the late John and Eva Bobby Sorensky.

She was a lifelong area resident and a 1937 graduate of Sharon High School.

Earlier in her life, Julia was employed as a bookkeeper for six years at the former Gerson's Jewelry Store in Sharon.

A homemaker, she was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon.

Her husband, Peter Kebaugh, whom she married August 28, 1939, passed away March 16, 1999.

Surviving are: a daughter, Karen E. Cattron and her husband Edward P., Rochester, NY; two sons, Peter K. Kebaugh and his wife Linda, Hendersonville , TN ; and Lance D. Kebaugh and his wife Betsy, California, MD; a sister, Anne Organ, Brookfield, Ohio; four grandchildren, Matthew D. Cattron, Mark D. Cattron and his wife Brooke, Kyle Kebaugh and Kurt Kebaugh; five great grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Mark Jr., Carter and Evan Cattron.

Besides her parents and husband, Julia was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sabol and Helen Kocholek; three brothers, John Sorensky and two who died in infancy; and a granddaughter-in-law, Renee Cattron.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Buhl Park Corporation, 730 Forker Blvd. Hermitage, PA 16148 .

Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Wednesday (8-12-09) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon , PA.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (8-12-09) in the funeral home with the Rev. Henry Andrae, pastor of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, officiating.

Vaughn A. Keen, 471 Charleston Road, Jefferson Township, passed away unexpectedly at 3:12 p.m. on Sunday (11-23-08) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 66.
He was born in Greenville, Monday, July 6, 1942 the son of Deloss A. and Dorothy Elizabeth Hall Keen
A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Mercer High School in 1960.
Mr. Keen was employed by General Motors in their Lordstown Assembly Plant for 30 years. After retiring from Lordstown, he worked part time for Dairy Queen in Hermitage for 10 years.
He was a member of the Living Word Christian Center, Greenville.
A naturalist, he enjoyed bird watching and belonged to the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, Jamestown N Y. He loved the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting, target shooting, and belonged to Fur Fin and Feather Sportsman Club, West Middlesex.
He loved helping others and during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season he volunteered at the Greenville Salvation Army. He also loved watching old western movies, rooting for Pen State, spending time with family, laughing, and playing with his granddaughter.
His wife the former Zelda L. Buchanan whom he married on August 28, 1965, survives at the residence. He also leaves his daughter Suzanne F. Keen at home, one son Douglas V. Keen and his wife Melissa A., Sharon; a sister, Marlene Mudge, Jamestown, NY; one brother Arthur Keen and his wife Jacqueline, Sharon; one granddaughter, Meara Keen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours: 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (11-26-08) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State Street, Sharon.
Services: a memorial service will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday (11-26-08) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Chapin pastor of Living Word Christian Center, Greenville, officiating.
