Judy Lee Rodehaver

Judith “Judy” (Phillips) Newlan Rodehaver, 87, of Sharpsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Judy was born on January 30, 1939, in Sharon, a daughter of the late William and Florence (Trow) Phillips. She was a 1956 graduate of Sharon High School and attended the former Shenango Valley Commercial Institute.

Early on, she worked as a secretary at the former CIT Financial in Hermitage. Judy then worked in the same capacity at the former Preston Trucking, ultimately retiring as a customer service representative at Estes Trucking at the age of 81.

A sports fanatic, she loved all the Pittsburgh sports teams and watching NASCAR. Every Sunday, while watching the Steelers, Judy, her sister and daughters critiqued the plays in a group chat, via text messaging. She was also an avid reader, finishing multiple books a week. Judy also enjoyed her daily walks, going line dancing, playing bingo, listening to Dolly Parton, and all things butterflies.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Field, of Gig Harbor, WA, Debbie Summers, of York, PA, and Shelly Mason, of Sharpsville; nine grandchildren, Taylor and Ciara Field; Justin Jennings (Ashley), Joshua Newlan, Carlos Summers, Jr., Jordale Summers, Jocelynne Summers, Malayna Zomparelli (Dominick), and Mya Mason; and seven great-grandchildren, Jayonna, Journey, Jacoby, Joshua, Jr., Isabelle, Paisley, and Ella. Also surviving is the father of her three daughters, Richard Newlan, of Brookfield, OH; her daughters’ significant others, Mark Borah, James Mason and Jamie Maxwell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra “Sandi” (Phillips) Williams; and a great-grandchild, Justin Jennings, Jr.

Funeral service will be at noon on Saturday (08/01/2026) in the funeral home, with Rev. Rich Stauffer officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
