A memorial service will be held Friday for Judith "Judy" A. Summersgill, formerly of Sharon. She passed away after an extended illness at 7:24 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, in Whitecliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township, where she was a resident for seven years. She was 72. Mrs. Summersgill was born May 12, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of C. William and Louise Chlup Burlingame. She was a 1960 graduate of Sharon High School and an alumna of the Pittsburgh Art Institute. A homemaker, she was of the Episcopalian faith. Her husband, Kenneth Summersgill, whom she married in 1979, passed away in 2005. Surviving are: three sisters, Janet L. Danowski and her husband Frank, Golden Valley, Ariz.; Karin G. Reynolds and her husband Richard, Sharon; and Beth A. Davis and her husband James, Columbia, Md.; three brothers, William D. Burlingame and his wife Corrine, Hillsboro, Ill.; David J. Burlingame and his wife Jane, Erie; and James M. Burlingame and his wife Debbie, Pike Road, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother, Mary Alongi.
