Obituary

Judith Marie Marchewka, 74, of Union Twp. PA passed away peacefully Thursday morning September 27, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born June 30, 1944, in Ellwood City, a daughter of the late Charles and Barbara (Cupac) Hief.

Judy was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Alvernia High School, Millvale, PA.

She married her beloved husband of 46 years, Ronald Marchewka, on August 19, 1972, and he survives at home.

Judy was a devout member of St. Mary's Church, Mary Mother of Hope Parish, New Castle, where she served as an usher, Eucharistic Minister, and collection counter. She dedicated countless hours of her time volunteering at church festivals, visiting sick parishioners at their homes and assisting with the church youth group activities. Judy loved life, and her gift was being able share it with others when they needed it most.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by an aunt, Zita Pesano of Ellwood City.

Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a sister, Michele Krepps; an uncle, Sam Pesano; and an aunt and uncle Lois and Emery Hoodnick.
