Obituary

Judith L. "Judy" Canon, 82, of Hermitage, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, in her home.

Mrs. Canon was born on September 14, 1942, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Paul and Shirley (Warrender) Keeley. She grew up in Transfer and attended Reynolds and Sharon School Districts, and was a 1960 graduate of Farrell High School.

Judy married Harry L. Canon, Jr. on August 8, 1969, and moved to Hermitage, where they made their home for 56 years. Together, they traveled throughout the United States, attending many motorcycle rallies, and cruised the Caribbean.

Judy was employed as a teller and then an accountant at McDowell Bank in Sharon for 35 years. Later, she worked in the billing department of Sharon Regional Health System and then as the Deputy Treasurer of Mercer County.  She worked at the data center for the FNB Corporation and the United States Investigation Services in Grove City.  She enjoyed a part-time retirement job working with fundraising campaigns at Daffin's Candies during the holidays.

An avid reader, she read multiple novels each week during her retirement. Judy also enjoyed watching reruns of classic television shows from the 1950's, 60's and 70's, especially I Love Lucy. She also liked spending time outdoors and going camping.

She is survived by her husband, Harry, at home; three children, Wyatt (Brandy Panei) Canon, of Hermitage, and their children, AJ and Kenny; Wendy (Shawn) Stankovich, of Platteville, WI, and their children, Taylor and Carter; and Holly (Rick) Berberick, of Transfer, and their children, Richard and Lilly; two step-sons, Harry (Denise Breznak) Canon, III, of Stoneboro, PA, and his children, Krysta and Lee; and Rich (Tabby) Canon, of Sandy Lake, PA, and their children, Amanda and Kyle. Also surviving are two sisters, Jane (Lenny) Moore, of Saginaw, TX, and Jan (Joe) Cummings, of Mercer; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Keeley; and a granddaughter, Allison Canon.
